I was accused of conspiracy and arrested. I was found innocent but it is still on my record. How can I get this cleared off of my record and further more how is it on my record if I was innocent?

Your first step is to speak to your Area Defense Counsel. If they are unable to assist with your situation, speak to your local Inspector General and request assistance. It is also important to remember that any communication with the IG is protected, which means it is against Federal Law for anyone to restrict your access to the IG or reprise against you for contacting the IG. If needed, contact the DOD IG Hotline and your inquiry will be answered in a timely matter.
